Iran’s short movie ‘Oblivion’ directed by Fatemeh Mohammadi has made it to the 6th edition of the Fantastic and Terror Festival in Tarrega (GALACTICAT) in Spain.
‘Oblivion’ will participate at the competition section of the Spanish festival.
Produced by Iranian Youth Cinema Society, the short film depicts the challenges facing old people.
“Old people are passed into oblivion when their loved ones forget about them,” a synopsis for the film reads.
The film won the Second Best Film award at the 2nd Shahu International Film Festival in India and the Best Short Film Cultural Diversity award at the 2019 edition of the Setting Sun Film Festival in Australia.
The film has also attended several global events, including the Phoenix Film Festival, the Buffalo International Film Festival, the Post Alley Film Festival, all in the US, as well as the Mercy to Universe International Short Film Competition in Turkey.
The 6th edition of the GALACTICAT will take place on June 9-12, 2019.
